Sep. 19th, 2008 02:42 am"An elderly woman crossing a Brighton Beach street was struck and killed by a car early yesterday, police said.
Raisa Avetikyan, 77, was crossing Brighton Beach Avenue at Brighton Third Street at 5:20 p.m. when she was struck by a 2007 Toyota 4 Runner.
Avetikyan, who lived nearby, was taken to Coney Island Hospital, where she was declared dead a short time later.
The 44-year-old woman driving the Toyota, which had been heading west on Brighton Beach Avenue, remained at the scene and was not charged with a crime."
And all I saw at 8pm was a huge puddle of blood.
